The weather is cooling and Fall is slowly materializing. However, I recently developed a Lomography One Time Use Camera and it is ALLLLL Summer. So, let this post be the last vestige of summer 2018. Simple joys like re-potting house plants, late night Nutella toast binges, and awkward pool floating situations (ha) are all on display in these photos.

Let me preface this post by saying that the photos below aren't incredibly glamorous or exciting, but they genuinely make me happy. The imperfections in the photos themselves, the people, and the moments captured all highlight sweet and uncomplicated times.

To a greater degree, I'm excited about the film because it's tangible. The film content is great in and of itself, but the fact that they’re physical copies of my memories is even better. I've been actively printing photos, whether digitally, chemically (via photo labs), or instantly (via Fujifilm and Polaroid), for awhile now. Collecting as many photos as possible is important to me because some of my favorite memories include rummaging through my Grandma's old red suitcase. The adults would be drinking coffee, a handful of people would settle in around Grandma Jay's dining room table, and we'd crack open the old red suitcase. I remember being ravenous as a kid for each photo's detail: who was in it, what was the relation to those present at the table, and what was the story surrounding each specific photo.

I enjoy collecting physical photos because I hope to create similar memories, memories where I’m surrounded with my own friends and family, drinking a warm cup of coffee and fondly reminiscing about the past.
