This particular roll of film took me a while to get through (9 months, to be exact). I blame the Contax T2.
I got the T2 because of our trip to Washington D.C., actually. I wanted something more portable, still film, and less for me to worry about (hence the point-and-shoot nature of the T2). Regardless of the reasoning behind my T2 purchase, these photos are all shot on the Canon AE 1. This particular roll of film contained the following:
A trip to Washington D.C. for Allan’s first in-person meetup for his (then very new) job. In the photo above you can baaarely see him at a team meetup on the rooftop of the white building with his new colleagues. He’s so fancy. While Allan worked, I made my way to a few D.C. establishments like the National Museum of African American History & Culture. The building and experience are seriously amazing! While we were in D.C. (or the day before we left for D.C.?) Queen Elizabeth also passed away, so the streets were lined with Union Jacks, and American flags were lowered to half-staff in memoriam. I thought it was a cool thing to witness given the historical nature of the event.
A quick trip to Pop’s on the Eastside for Mother’s Day. We celebrated the holiday with my mom a day early by driving to my hometown and lounging around the pool all day. It was SO freaking nice.
To celebrate Carolyn, we went to one of her “go-to” places in town for pastrami sandwiches. We ordered the sandwiches and took them to the bluffs to enjoy and remember Carolyn ♥️The last set of photos is of us lounging in the sun on our apartment stairs. Since we are both remote workers, we have been diligent in sitting outside during our shared lunch hours. It helps break up the day (and doesn’t hurt our tans either 😉😎).
