1️⃣ La Jolla Paragliding — September 2024
In late August 2024, my dad had a double lung transplant—a huge step for him and for all of us. We’re beyond grateful that it went well, and he’s now in recovery. Since the surgery, he, my mom, and brother have been staying in San Diego, with an incredible opportunity to stay at UCSD’s La Jolla Family House apartments. I can’t say enough about how thankful we are for this place. These photos capture a weekend visit where Allan and I took my dad out to the La Jolla Paragliding spot, a place he loved in his younger days. It was amazing to see him enjoy it with his new lungs!
2️⃣ General Life in Bakersfield — October 2024
We attended an awesome car show downtown, and somewhere along the way, we gained a housecat named Frog. We’re allergic, but we can’t stop petting and loving her 🫣
3️⃣ RV Camping at Carlsbad — April 2024
My parents have an awesome RV that they used all the time before my dad’s transplant surgery, and once he's fully healed, they’re itching to get back on the road. Allan and I usually manage to tag along, and this time was no different. We joined them, along with my Uncle Ken and Aunt Mary, for a camping trip in Carlsbad, CA. It was perfect—great food, plenty of sunshine, beach time, and lots of quality family time (including my brother ♥️).
4️⃣ Anniversary (11th) Trip in San Luis Obispo
The Central Coast has a special place in our hearts (honestly, who doesn’t love it?!), so we find ourselves there a lot. For our 11th anniversary, we went back to our favorite hotel in SLO, drank some yummy coffee, enjoyed some beach time, and celebrated with dinner at Nate’s on Marsh. All our favorite things—and it was perfect.
