I did it. I bought the trendiest of point and shoot cameras, a Contax T2 😬
This time last year I bought a Canon AE-1 to learn how to shoot film. Although I have loved learning how to shoot film on the Canon, I quickly realized that it isn’t the best choice for quick shots and travel, at least for a beginner like me. (Picture Allan smiling forrreverrr as I adjust the aperture, focus, shutter speed, and double-check the ISO. It was his favorite 🙈) During a recent trip to D.C., I also came to the conclusion that the Canon isn’t the sleekest of cameras for travel. But - where there’s a will, there’s a way and I shoved that thing into my carry-on regardless!
Since I really enjoy shooting film, especially when traveling, I scoured eBay and bought a Contax T2. It arrived the day before we were set to meet up with my parents at Pismo State Campground, perfect for its inaugural testing. THEN, when my parents decided to extend their beach trip and come to town (so we could watch our landlord’s daughter show her goat at the county fair), I tested it out some more! I’m pretty pleased with these photos and look forward to shooting more film using the Contax T2 👍
